These terms apply to your use of BestQuizzes.com and the quizzes on it, including History Guesser (together, “the Site”), operated by [YOUR NAME / BUSINESS NAME] (“we”, “us”). By using the Site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

1. The quizzes

The Site offers free online quizzes and games. In History Guesser, a new set of questions is published each day, starting at midnight GMT. Scores, streaks and statistics are stored on your own device and are for fun only — they have no monetary value and we can't recover them if your browser data is cleared.

2. Using the Site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to:

  • scrape, copy or harvest the questions or other content in bulk, or use bots or automated tools to access the Site;
  • attempt to interfere with, overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers or the databases behind it;
  • reverse-engineer the Site other than as permitted by law, or use it for anything unlawful;
  • reproduce, republish or sell the Site's content without our written permission.

Sharing your own daily result using the Share button is very welcome.

3. Content and accuracy

We work hard to make questions and answers accurate, but history is not always precise — dates can be disputed, approximate or recorded differently by different sources. The content is provided for entertainment and general interest only and is not professional or academic advice. If you think an answer is wrong, please let us know at [CONTACT EMAIL].

4. Intellectual property

The Site, including its design, logo, text, questions and code, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.

5. Advertising and third-party links

The Site may in future display advertisements, which may be served by third parties. We are not responsible for the content of adverts or of any third-party websites linked from the Site, and your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them. 6. Availability and changes

The Site is provided free of charge on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend or withdraw the Site, the scoring rules or any feature at any time, and we don't guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.

Subject to that, because the Site is a free service provided for entertainment, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site — including loss of data, scores or streaks — whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date will change, and continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
